Inland Empire Heater Repair

Same-Day Heater Repair Near You

When the heat quits on a cold Inland Empire night, you don't have days to wait. Tech On Call runs same-day heater repair across Riverside and San Bernardino County on every type of residential and light-commercial heater — gas furnaces, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, electric furnaces, older wall and floor furnaces, and rooftop package units. Licensed, insured techs with stocked trucks fix most no-heat calls the same visit.

Different heater types fail in different ways. Gas furnace repair usually comes down to ignitors, flame sensors, gas valves, or pressure switches. Heat pump repair is more about reversing valves, defrost boards, and refrigerant. Electric furnace failures are typically heating elements or sequencers. Wall furnaces in older homes need pilot, thermocouple, and venting service. We diagnose every type — combustion testing and CO check on every gas appliance.

Every repair starts with a flat-rate diagnostic that credits toward the work. You see the price before we start. If the heater is 15+ years old or the repair exceeds 40% of replacement cost, we'll quote replacement honestly alongside. Tired of repair calls? A maintenance plan drops the rate and prioritizes you.

The Repairs We Run Every Winter

Diagnose · Repair · Restore
01

No Heat At All

Thermostat calls, heater silent. Failed ignitor, control board, or safety switch — fixed in one visit.

02

Pilot Won't Stay Lit

Older wall and floor furnaces. Bad thermocouple or weak pilot — quick service-call fix.

03

Blowing Cold Air

Blower runs but no heat. Flame sensor, gas valve, or limit switch issue.

04

Short-Cycling

Heater runs briefly, shuts off, restarts. Overheating limit, dirty filter, or oversized burners.

05

Tripping Breaker

Electric element shorting, blower motor drawing too much, wiring shorted. We isolate before damage spreads.

06

Heat Pump Not Heating

Reversing valve stuck, defrost board failed, low refrigerant. Specialized diagnostic for heat pumps.

07

Thermostat Or Control Fault

Display dead, fan stuck, stages failing. We diagnose every thermostat and OEM control board.

08

Wall / Floor Furnace Failure

Older Inland Empire homes — pilot, thermocouple, burner, and venting service. We still work on these.

Repair FAQ

Heater Repair Questions

01

How fast can you get out?

Same-day Monday–Saturday across both counties. After-hours dispatch available — see emergency heater repair.

02

How much does heater repair cost?

Flat-rate $89 diagnostic, credited toward the repair. Most repairs $200–$850. Quoted before any work.

03

What heaters do you repair?

Every type — gas furnaces, heat pumps, mini-splits, electric furnaces, wall and floor furnaces, package units. All major brands.

04

Why won't my heater turn on?

Most common: failed ignitor, dirty flame sensor, tripped pressure switch, blown control-board fuse, or a thermostat issue. Same-day diagnostic finds the root cause.

05

Why is my heater blowing cold air?

Flame sensor, gas valve, low gas pressure, or thermostat in fan-on mode. See furnace repair for the full diagnostic walk-through.

06

Do you service older wall and floor furnaces?

Yes — pilot, thermocouple, burner, gas valve, and venting service on older Inland Empire wall and gravity floor furnaces.

07

Should I repair or replace?

If the unit is 15+ years old, has a cracked heat exchanger, or repair exceeds 40% of replacement, we'll quote both honestly. See furnace replacement.

08

Could my furnace be leaking carbon monoxide?

A cracked heat exchanger is the most common source of CO leaks from a furnace. Warning signs: soot around the burner area, a yellow (not blue) flame, headaches or dizziness when the furnace runs, and a CO detector alarm. If you suspect a leak, shut the furnace off at the breaker, open windows, and call us — we test combustion and inspect the heat exchanger as part of every diagnostic.

09

What cities do you serve for heating repair?

Every city in Riverside and San Bernardino County — Riverside, San Bernardino, Fontana, Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario, Corona, Moreno Valley, Temecula, Murrieta, Redlands, Hesperia, Victorville, and the Coachella Valley. Cold-snap nights in Hesperia, Victorville, and Yucaipa drive the most no-heat calls — we triage those first.

10

Do you warranty heating work?

Every repair carries a workmanship warranty. New furnace and heat pump installs are registered with the manufacturer — most ship a 10-year parts warranty when registered within 60 days, and we handle that paperwork for you.

11

Do you offer financing on furnace replacement?

Yes — financing is available on qualifying furnace and heat pump installs. We'll walk through monthly payment options and California rebate eligibility (SoCalGas, SCE, federal IRA tax credits) before you commit.
