No-Heat · Ignitor · Flame Sensor · Gas Valve · Heat Exchanger
Same-day diagnostic and repair across the Inland Empire — every brand, every furnace, every fuel type. Licensed, flat-priced, fixed right the first visit.
When the furnace quits on a 35°F night in Hesperia, Yucaipa, San Bernardino, or Riverside, you don't have days to wait. Tech On Call runs same-day furnace repair across both Inland Empire counties with licensed, insured techs and a stocked truck. Hot-surface ignitors, flame sensors, gas valves, pressure switches, blower motors, capacitors, and control boards are on the truck — most no-heat calls get fixed the same visit, not "we'll order the part and come back next week."
Our most common furnace repair calls follow a clear pattern. A failed hot-surface ignitor — the most frequent cause of "thermostat calls but the burners won't light" — is a $200–$400 same-visit fix. A dirty flame sensor causes the burners to ignite for 5 seconds then shut off (the safety circuit can't prove flame), and it's a 20-minute cleaning, not a parts call. A failed inducer motor, pressure switch, or limit switch each have their own diagnostic signature. The big one is a cracked heat exchanger — a carbon-monoxide safety hazard that means furnace replacement, not repair. Combustion testing and a heat-exchanger visual are part of every diagnostic.
Every repair starts with a flat-rate diagnostic that credits toward the work. You see the price before we touch a wrench. If the furnace is 15+ years old or the repair exceeds 40% of replacement cost, we'll quote furnace replacement honestly alongside the repair so the math is yours, not ours. If you're tired of repair calls, an annual maintenance plan drops the rate and prioritizes you next cold snap.
If any of these match what your furnace is doing right now, call us and we'll be there same-day.
No Heat At All
Thermostat calls, burners silent. Usually a failed ignitor, blown control board fuse, or tripped safety switch we can fix in one visit.
Burners Light Then Shut Off
Classic dirty flame sensor — safety circuit can't prove flame so the gas valve closes. 20-minute cleaning, not a parts call.
Blowing Cold Air
Blower runs but no heat. Flame sensor, gas valve, limit switch, or low gas pressure. We diagnose before quoting any part.
Cracked Heat Exchanger
The CO safety hazard. Soot around burners, yellow flames, or a CO alarm. Repair isn't safe — we quote replacement honestly.
Short-Cycling
Furnace runs 2 minutes, shuts off, restarts. Overheating limit switch, dirty filter restricting airflow, or oversized burners.
Tripping Breaker
Blower motor shorting, ignitor drawing too much, or wiring shorted. We isolate the cause before the next start damages more.
Inducer Motor Whine Or Won't Start
Inducer pulls combustion gases out of the heat exchanger. When it fails, the pressure switch never closes and burners won't light.
Thermostat Or Control Board Fault
Display dead, fan won't run, or stages stuck. We diagnose Nest, Ecobee, Honeywell, and OEM boards — and rewire when needed.

Call & Schedule
A real dispatcher answers — no phone tree. Same-day or next-morning ETA confirmed, and we text the tech's name and photo before arrival.
On-Site Diagnostic
Flat-rate diagnostic. Tech inspects burners, heat exchanger, ignitor, gas pressure, blower motor, and combustion — then explains what's failing in plain English.
Written Quote
You see the repair (or replacement) price before any work starts. Diagnostic fee credits toward the repair when you proceed.
Repair Or Install
Most repairs are completed same-visit — we stock ignitors, flame sensors, gas valves, capacitors, and blower motors on the truck. Larger jobs scheduled within 24–48 hours.
Test & Document
We verify supply temps, gas pressure, combustion, and CO levels. You get a written invoice with everything we did, parts used, and warranty terms.

Cities
Don't see your city? Call (909) 239-6364 — we likely cover your area.
How fast can you get out?
Same-day across both counties Monday–Saturday. After-hours emergency dispatch available — see emergency heater repair.
How much does furnace repair cost?
Flat-rate $89 diagnostic, credited toward the repair when you proceed. Most repairs $200–$850. Quoted before any work.
How much does it cost to replace a furnace ignitor?
$200–$400 installed depending on furnace brand and ignitor type (hot-surface vs spark). The diagnostic that confirms the ignitor is the actual failure is the real value.
Why is my furnace blowing cold air?
Most common causes: dirty flame sensor (burners light then shut off after 5 seconds), failed ignitor, low gas pressure, tripped pressure switch, or thermostat stuck in fan-on mode.
Why does my furnace short-cycle?
Overheating limit switch tripping, restricted airflow from a dirty filter or closed registers, oversized burners, or a failing blower motor. We measure static pressure to find the real restriction.
Can a furnace leak carbon monoxide?
Yes — a cracked heat exchanger is the most common source. Soot around burners, yellow flames, headaches when the furnace runs, or a CO alarm all point to it. Combustion testing is part of every diagnostic. See more in our furnace maintenance guide.
Should I repair or replace?
If the furnace is 15+ years old, the heat exchanger is cracked, or the repair is over 40% of replacement cost, we'll quote both honestly. See furnace replacement.
Do you charge a diagnostic fee?
Flat-rate $89 diagnostic credited toward the repair when you proceed. No hourly surprises.
What brands do you work on?
Every major residential and light-commercial brand — Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, York, Rheem, Bryant, Mitsubishi, and Daikin.
Could my furnace be leaking carbon monoxide?
A cracked heat exchanger is the most common source of CO leaks from a furnace. Warning signs: soot around the burner area, a yellow (not blue) flame, headaches or dizziness when the furnace runs, and a CO detector alarm. If you suspect a leak, shut the furnace off at the breaker, open windows, and call us — we test combustion and inspect the heat exchanger as part of every diagnostic.
What cities do you serve for heating repair?
Every city in Riverside and San Bernardino County — Riverside, San Bernardino, Fontana, Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario, Corona, Moreno Valley, Temecula, Murrieta, Redlands, Hesperia, Victorville, and the Coachella Valley. Cold-snap nights in Hesperia, Victorville, and Yucaipa drive the most no-heat calls — we triage those first.
Do you warranty heating work?
Every repair carries a workmanship warranty. New furnace and heat pump installs are registered with the manufacturer — most ship a 10-year parts warranty when registered within 60 days, and we handle that paperwork for you.
Do you offer financing on furnace replacement?
Yes — financing is available on qualifying furnace and heat pump installs. We'll walk through monthly payment options and California rebate eligibility (SoCalGas, SCE, federal IRA tax credits) before you commit.
